Somewhere I heard that this implement called a hoe could be useful in weeding. I sort of refused to believe it, but I was at a garage sale the other day, and they had a long-handled hoe for $5, and my herb plot needed weeding, so what the hell, I bought it.
It’s a game-changer. So much easier than bending over and gets under the root system to lift them out. Apart from some tough woody things, it does it all.
It’s not a great-quality hoe—the blade is only attached by friction—but so far I’m very pleased.
