How could any pianist resist, it's 50p towards a charity; and later at home looking through the pages πŸ€ͺ mostly black with dots, I got my moneysworth, laughing.

He composed it in his early twenties (he was 25 when it was first performed) so you have to wonder how amazing his playing must have been.

Thank you Wtg. I followed the dots as Artur plays and was looking at his fingers, the amazing mobility at that age.
Astoundingly beautiful. The melancholy of the adagio, sweet Lord.
Andrew Preview conducts the LSO perfectly for him, but Artur is sublime.

And his face. It reminded me of watching an old kyudo master standing motionless as he releases his first arrow which hits the target dead centre with no apparent effort. And then his second, same.
Every note is like a perfect arrow, a lifetimes effort and experience.

As a β€œpiano solo edition,” does that mean the orchestra parts are revised for piano and combined with the original piano part?

Yes, the orchestra is in slightly smaller lighter font:

                  And at 14.25 the adagio

Interesting, Artur says it took him 3 days to learn (play & memorise) the Grieg A minor. So 20-30 hours practice.
