Yes. There's a Greek community in Tarpon Springs. They have a Greek festival. We went to it every year. It's an easy drive from Tampa. It's even closer from where I live. My PCP is in Tarpon Springs. I loved going to the Greek festival. What I like about Tarpon Springs the most today is that you realize once you get there, the land is more open and the air is cleaner. My grandmother had a good friend at work who was Greek. We would go to the festival with her family. My roommate's sister is married to a Greek man who was born and raised in Tarpon Springs. I considered moving there but found only once place I had to rule out. Thanks.

The Greek festival here is a big deal every year. Fun, although I seldom go to festivals anymore.

My housing complex shares a wall with a Greek church. Every year they give everyone in my development free passes to their festival because they screw up our parking so badly.

Enjoyable and I especially enjoyed the part about it being free for us…

Lots of Greek food festivals in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. I usually enjoy going to at least the one nearest me.

Has anyone noticed how many diners are owned and run by Greeks?

There's a Greek jewelry designer who makes jewelry by hand with an entire collection inspired by the motifs of a specific ancient Greek church.

I'll post the story when it cools down.

Lots of restaurants owned by Greeks around here, including a tapas restaurant here in my town. Well, it was a tapas bar for many years but recently the Greek owners closed it and it re-opened as a...wait for it...Greek restaurant! Real Greek food, that is, not Greek diner food.

Yes, and they are very good, by and large. There’s a whole lot of them in Michigan.

There was this wonderful Greek restaurant in Sarasota back in the day.

Our standard go to restaurant for dinner was a Thai restaurant owned by my friend's parents.

On special occasions (any time we went was one), we went to an outdoor Barbeque restaurant in Sarasota's Black neighborhood.

My friends and I almost always went out for lunch or dinner or someone made dinner and we'd have a dinner party.

We didn't use the mandatory cafeteria plan very often but in fairness, the entire price of the plan was only about $275. adjusted for inflation. We used some of it.

I don't like going out to eat now. I don't even like ordering food. It's almost always a disappointment.
