Do you like your iPhone?

I'm thinking about a Google Pixel 10 Pro XL.

Pros: Pixel, XL, and OLED (not AMOLED) screen (Samsung's newest AMOLED screens are too bright and harsh for my eyes).

Cons: Poor battery performance per charge and over time, glitching software issues, multiple failure of Google to fix issues with software updates.

I'm considering switching back to Apple (it's been too long time).

Battery life is very important to me, battery reliability and durability are too.

Google's Pixels have had battery issues generation after generation including the current one.

I decided this should be a deal breaker and then when I decided I want an iMac, it made sense to let it be one.

The equivalent Apple has a strong battery from everything I can tell, and an XL OLED screen with something like 450 pixels.

My one concern is the keyboards. I read they're different than Android and harder to use.

I'd like to hear about Apple phones you have and like or don't, and I'd especially like to hear about the keyboard (of a Apples but a comparison between Apple's and Android's would be great too).

Are you familiar with the magsafe battery packs that stick on the back of a phone? That might be the easiest way to get a longer charge out of any phone.

Describe how you use the keyboard - I haven't noticed any problems with an apple keyboard, but I know my son has an Android and prefers to use a sweeping motion instead of tapping. Apple has a "slide to type" setting but I've never used that.

Nope, pay for image & bling if you wish, we swapped to Samsung some years ago.

Personally I find the Note versions very handy for lists, reminders and... notes

I have a Note 10+ , bought for a bargain £470? some years ago when it was a few versions old; it fits in trouser pockets and is an even better bargain now.

I charge it once a day overnight. Never thought about upgrading even though the latest cameras on Samsungs are better.

I freaking HATE my iPhone! 16 Pro Max.

Worst device I have ever owned. So intrusive and I have everything "turned off". The keyboard absolutely sucks. Especially compared to my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

I have never had more accidental dials in my life. It constantly acts like I want it to listen to me, transcribing full conversations into a text message and the messages app wasn't even open.

Fuck Apple and Really, Fuck the iPhone.

BTW, I work for an Apple Premiere Partner and Authorized Service Center. I support Apple computers in the business world. They suck.

I upgraded my iPhone from XS (10) to 14 Pro last year. Bought it used. I wanted a camera upgrade, but I didn’t want all the AI bells and whistles that come on the models newer than that one.

This phone is heavy because it has 3 camera lenses, but it goes up to 3x optical zoom.

It works fine.

Yes, I've seen them advertised. I don't know how to describe how I use it. I definitely don't know how to swipe. I'm lucky it I can get my finger to land on the letter,number, or symbol I need. I was thinking about something to do with the different screens that are options and how you change back and forth? You can see I heard about something like this and didn't understand it or I understood what was being said and didn't remember it.

I learned a little about five or six brands that make serious phones I hadn't considered last night.

MrsTuner has one of the magnet battery packs and she uses that to extend her use when it's not easy to plug in. Way easier than the corded battery packs I have floating around!
