Who’s decorating for the holidays?
-
Here are some photos of our decorations this year. When my mother moved this summer, she gave me a bunch of ornaments, so I added close to 100 more ornaments across two trees this year

The main tree:

Lights on so you can see the ornaments:

The piano room:

My view from the bench:

And yes, for the record, the set up, and the photos, are almost exactly the same as last year.
It it ain’t broke…

@ShiroKuro Your trees are so pretty, SK.

No ornaments, but seeing the lighted tree in the screen room as I work in the kitchen is nice.

Tree with a fraction of ornaments that I have. In the living room.

Favorite ornaments:

Mom's favorite candle. Snowman in the background was a gift from my best friend's mom.

Christmas mice:

The caroler and pine cone candles pre-date me.

Mr wtg's grandma used to do ceramics:

Lots of sweet memories of Christmases past....

Not me. We're out in Las Vegas preparing to welcome granddaughter Raven on New Year's Eve!
But one of our neighbors goes a little crazy every year ...

I’m loving these slender trees! So much less intrusive than the big bushy round ones. We don’t have a lot of room for a tree, and I stopped putting one up when the kids moved out.

Here’s my tree this year, same as before but slightly different ornaments. Forgot my sock monkey!

Living room tree, and table set:

Must go down the garden for some holly to complete the hanging wreath

Are they? Gotta have the paper hat, gift and silly joke to start...
What's white, furry, and smells of mint?
A polo bear

Merry Christmas to one and all!
Here’s the tree. Family will be by this afternoon to open presents.

This crèche was a wedding gift and is my favorite Christmas decoration.

If You Tube is to be believed I think those potatoes are “roasties”. Looks like there are several different cooking methods and all of them look delicious!

How do you make them? What’s the best kind of potato to use?
-
Medium sized potatoes (not small new or large baked) chopped to the size you want.
Par boil them 5mins or so, then cover in oil (and honey) and roast until golden (about 20-15 mins at 210). Very tasty.Wife is in the jumper; she carved the meat to serve easily.
Out decorations were very last minute this year due to my carpert laying and 4 collies.
