Posturing. We're not going to join the war.

Why do you say that? The US has moved substantial air/sea assets into place, including refueling planes necessary to keep an air effort going 24/7.

Yes, it could all just be posturing or pressure. We'll see. But it's much more than Trump's usual lip shits.

It just adds more credibility to the threat. I just don’t think he will. The only thing we can add is the MOPs and there’s no guarantee they can put Fordo out of business, plus it would spread radiation over the region. If that facility is to be shut down it will have to be by cutting off their power supply, destroying the tunnel access and possibly in combination with a ground assault.

And don’t forget, every day is Taco Tuesday. If our ordinance failed it would destroy his presidency. I don’t believe he would risk that.

Our biggest threat here is overreach based on the Israeli successes. The mullahs have had their world rocked. At the very least their adventurism will be greatly chastened even if the regime manages to stay in power. We especially need to stay out of the regime change business. It’s what got us the last 45 years of Iran as we know it.

      I agree completely.

Last night I said If our ordinance failed it would destroy his presidency. Upon reflection I think if we were successful, the resulting radiation spewed would do that same thing. We cannot win here by getting involved. .

                  Um, OK. Not exactly confidence-inspiring.

Donald Trump has denied a report in the Wall Street Journal that he has approved US plans to attack Iran, saying that the news outlet has “no idea” what his thinking is concerning the Israel-Iran conflict.

The Journal reported late on Wednesday that Trump told senior aides a day earlier that he had approved attack plans but was delaying on giving the final order to see if Tehran would abandon its nuclear program. The report cited three anonymous officials.

On Thursday, Trump responded to the report, posting on Truth Social: “The Wall Street Journal has No Idea what my thoughts are concerning Iran!”

Of course he would deny it. No president would want that kind of information known.

On the other hand, it could just represent another instance of T.A.C.O.
