choochiefingers and I had a day trip to Rockport, MA for an independent bookstore scavenger hunt. We had lunch at a restaurant with a view and were treated to the antics of this family of female and juvenile wood ducks.

The world has gone mad. I was sitting on the deck spinning this morning and I kept hearing a pecking sound coming from the driveway. Eventually, I realized it was abnormal and looked over to see a couple turkeys pecking at my car tires and front grille. Why in the world would they be doing that? I went over and shooshed them into the forest.
I just went out to put food in the bird feeders and they're at it again!
I would have thought the behavior was food driven but there's no food in the car. Is this retaliation for shooshing them from the bird feeders? Are there any animal psychologists in the house?

Cosmo - our new stray kitten. About 12 weeks old. We've been feeding her and now she's living under our deck. She's already let me pet her and is rubbing around our legs, so the bonding is taking place. We'll be a three cat house. I just can't stand to leave a little one like that out in the wild.

I tried to look at this earlier today and it said there was a technical problem. I just tried again (7 hours later) and the problem persists.
