@AndyD that is indeed a very nice greenhouse!

Actually itโ€™s a very nice estate (if somewhat dated and full of dated furnishings).

      What does this mean:

The stable block itself has 5 loose boxes in Victorian cage box style.

What a lovely home. And two greenhouses!

if somewhat dated and full of dated furnishings

I would call shag carpeting "dated". This house is "period". ๐Ÿ˜‰

Individual boxes with iron work on wood. Maybe like this, where the horses are not tethered

Gorgeous place and a fabulous greenhouse, but imagine the staff you need to maintain the place. Unless it can be turned into a money maker, one needs deep pockets for such a place.

            The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

Thatโ€™s always where my mind goes when I see places like this! Especially that gorgeous maze! I have never been in a maze like that, imagine having one in your yard and that being where you go for your daily constitutional. ๐Ÿ™‚

I guess the three houses on the 153acre Estate may be used for staff.
Given your wealth buying & maintaining such a property, you wouldn't want tourists renting them, disrupting your morning coffee.

My wife would like a smaller version of that greenhouse constructed on the patio directly outside of our back door.

I've had some experience with maintaining estates, obviously not my own. It's a full time job.
