There are still a few Japanese anemones blooming, but not many.

And the blue June hydrangeas are a fun purple. Not really blooming, just waiting to get frosted.

Hydrangea when dying back into plum & claret colours are often nicer than the flowers.

When you click on 'reply' to someone's post, you may get a mini version of the input editor. At the bottom of the input box is the "Quick reply" button. Immediately to the left of it is a diagonal double arrow icon. If you click that you'll get the full editor. On the full editor toolbar, the next-to-last icon on the right is the upload image tool.

If you're already in the full editor, just click the upload image icon (second to last on the right).

@AndyD Nice! You're lucky to actually have flowers in November.

Here everything has died back to the ground except for the odd anemone. Most of the trees and shrubs are devoid of leaves, except for an oak leaf hydrangea that is remaining stubbornly green and a fothergilla which has been slowly changing colors for weeks now.

@AndyD Beautiful! Our Christmas cactus is blooming, too. It likes its sunny window.

The one thing I do before posting pictures is run them through an image sizing app, so it’s only a couple hundred KB instead of 4 MB each. Trying not to make them costly for the forum to host.

@AndyD Beautiful! I envy you having bush sized Fuchsia. Here, they are sold as potted plants and only last the summer.

I really need to get some Hellebores. They're pricey, though.

Woke up to heavy snow falling and minus 1 temperatures, so it'll be helibores only till spring. Winter came early!

As much as I love the growing season, I also enjoy the peacefulness of winter. It's a time to cocoon and regenerate energy for the next spring and summer.

Of course I say that as a retired person who doesn't have to go out in the snow to get to work.

Ha! There is something blooming around here after all.

Mr wtg and I went for a brief walk which took us past our friends' house, and lo and behold, their witch hazel is in fragrant full bloom!! I smelled it before I saw it.

I love both the scent and the delicate spidery-looking flowers.
