@AndyD Nice! You're lucky to actually have flowers in November.
Here everything has died back to the ground except for the odd anemone. Most of the trees and shrubs are devoid of leaves, except for an oak leaf hydrangea that is remaining stubbornly green and a fothergilla which has been slowly changing colors for weeks now.

Blooms all gone now but the buds on magnolia tree gives me hope for Spring!

Hydrangea when dying back into plum & claret colours are often nicer than the flowers.

There are still a few Japanese anemones blooming, but not many.
And the blue June hydrangeas are a fun purple. Not really blooming, just waiting to get frosted.

Ha! There is something blooming around here after all.
Mr wtg and I went for a brief walk which took us past our friends' house, and lo and behold, their witch hazel is in fragrant full bloom!! I smelled it before I saw it.
I love both the scent and the delicate spidery-looking flowers.
edit: About witch hazels.

My snowdrops finally started blooming this past week, about three weeks later than they did the last couple of (very warm) winters.
I was afraid my chives might not have made it through our extended deep freeze, but they are coming up.

Not exactly a bloom, but we emerged from winter this week and I found this little tree. Yikes!
Itβs a dwarf weeping Altas Cedar. It came through the winter of β24-β25 just fine, but the cold snap this winter may have killed it. What? Donβt cedars grow in Alaska and stuff?
Nursery guy says itβs probably fine - that it will drop the brown needles and grow new ones. Sure enough, the branches are still pliable so maybe there is hope.
