I know it's not spring everywhere...

...but it was almost 70 degrees here yesterday. We're back to in the 40s today. It's whipsaw weather!
I got out in the yard and started raking up the grass yesterday. Also pruned my red gooseberries and the butterfly bush. It felt so good to be outside.
I also emptied out one of my three elevated cedar beds and sanded it. Today probably wasn't the best day to be sanding as it was pretty windy out there. I had a mask on, so at least I wasn't inhaling the cedar dust. I have some food-safe cedar oil I treat the boxes with.

And the snowdrops are in full bloom! They keep spreading out more and more in my front landscape bed. I love them. They come up early and bloom for weeks. The rabbits don't eat them and th e squirrels don't dig up the bulbs. The perfect plant!
Mr wtg and i just came back from the garden center. I got some seed potatoes. Too early to plant, of course, but they always sell out, so I'm glad a got there early this year. Red Norland, Kennebec, Russet, and Pink Lady. Spuds are very easy to grow, you get a huge crop with little work, and they keep for a long time.
Anybody else poking their nose out in the yard yet?

It was 59 here today, but stil a foot and half of snow on the ground. The first of April is the soonest I can plant anything indoors as the ground isn't ready until beginning of June.
But it was nice to have a mild day. I went for a short walk but since I'm dealing with a bout of achilles tendonitis it wasn't all that enjoyable comfort wise. Still, the fresh air felt great.
I need to put snow drops in, and Hellebores, and a lot more crocuses.. gotta remember this fall.

Lovely bike ride in the park today. I think it was in the 60s. But it got windy too.

It's been as high as 81 once. Tomorrow will 83 and the day after 85.
I'm kind of dreading it.

Or anywhere, really. Lol.
