              @ShiroKuro Those are just SPAM flavored macadamia nuts, for snacking! I bought them in Hawaii; I’ve never seen them at home. SPAM is a popular Hawaiian flavor!

                @AdagioM ahh, now that you mention it, I notice where it says “macadamia” 😅

                Yep, I’ve had spam musubi, super yummy! Spam is also super popular in S. Korea… although I don’t think I’ve ever had spam in anything other than musubi.

                Aren’t macadamia nuts on the sweet side? So are spam flavored macadamia super salty?

                    Merry Christmas, Seasonal Felicitations to everyone!

                    Here is Pachelbel's Canon in D (You may have heard it before. 😉 ). Based on a chord progression following the Romanesca formula: III—VII—i—V—III—VII—i-V—i. A very popular chord progression in the late 16th, early 17th centuries.

                      @Bernard i love Brooklyn Duo!

                      As it happens, I recently made a cello-friend 🙂 we have played together once and we’re getting together tomorrow to play again. I wonder if she’d like to try this. I have played various arrangement of the Pachelbel’s Canon, and just from listening to the video you posted, I suspect this arrangement is well within my range of playability. Yesterday, I was “playing around” with old sheet music I haven’t looked at in years and I actually pulled an old arrangement of the Canon that I “made” years ago, by mashing two different versions together. If anyone recognized the Galloway version, that’s part of the arrangement I made.

                      But back to the Brooklyn Duo version… I don’t know about the cello part, and I haven’t played with my friend enough to know her abilities.

                      @Bernard , do you think this version would be super challenging for a cellist?

                        @ShiroKuro No, I don't think it's "super challenging". It's probably considered intermediate. A lot of the left hand fingering occurs in the four basic positions (probably some half positions) and there's a lot of step wise and small interval motion giving anchor points and navigation aid. There is a small-ish amount of thumb position and I expect that to be the biggest challenge. (Thumb position is when the left hand plays up beyond the edge of the body of the cello.) But there isn't too much of that and it looks pretty uncomplicated.

                        Very cool that you made an arrangement of it. Well done!

                          Thanks for explaining that! Based on your description, I suspect she can handle it.

                          Nothing fancy, but I was pretty proud of myself! 😅

                          I had found that there were several different arrangements that each had parts I liked, but none of them had all the things I liked. So I took the score that had most of what I liked, fleshed out the LH part based on a second score, and then took the latter half of a third score, figured out how to do the transition, and mashed that onto the end of the modified score from scores 1 and 2.

                          The score I ended up with is 10 pages long. 😁

                          When I played through it yesterday, I found I could play all of it except for that last bit, which is a good bit more challenging than the rest of it.

                          But I can probably get that part back into my fingers easily enough 🤞
