I was using Bluesky regularly for a while, but got completely away from it. I didn't like some of the things that were missing (that I used to like about Twitter) and it seemed like my feed on Bluesky was kind of sparse and boring, so I just stopped using it.

As for X, again, I used to like it. My feed was the perfect mix of Japanese and English lang. posts all related to my work and research. Now it's just full of bullsh*t posts, half of which are super offensive.

IMO X is the major reason studies show that social media is bad for the brain.

I’m trying Threads, but most of my feed is travel complaints about people and seats and overhead bins. Blech.

I’ve been doomscrolling X lately; it’s horrifying but I can’t look away. I don’t post there, just scroll.
