Finally! The financial logistics have been solved!

    This has been a saga!

    What a relief.

Long story short, I MUST shop a washer from Home Depot.

It's not a secret I'd rather raise the budget and buy a mechanical Speed Queen, but the absolute cost in terms of sensibility (not long term cost analysis) is the thing.

If it has a 1 year warranty and melts down in 3 so be it.

    I don't care anymore.

That would be 3 years of having a washer, an infinity better course of action than letting this junk washer sit here for one day longer than it can be taken away.

I know it's a "least worse" option choice but that's OK. One might have a slight better reputation, or have features that would make it easier to live with, that kind of thing.

    Thanks!

Ps Not the Amana. That's the junked washer I have now.

Don't buy Samsung. Horrible customer service for repairs. A lot of shops won't do warranty work on Samsung because the company is a total pain to work with.

          Scrap the Link

          This is the Link

I added "agitator" and took away "impeller".

Before we moved here, we bought a new set of LG washer and dryer that we liked. I think it was 2019, so the models are different now of course.

If you’re shopping at HD, I would probably focus on LG or GE.

                I like this one.

Knobs not dials (trivial but still)

                Manual option for water height

Setting to lock lid only during spin cycle

                  From above

                  Hotpoint = GE

I like the orange letters used for the brand. Very trivial but still

I'm easy to please at this point.

The problem will be they won't haul away a washer with water and mine has about 4".

Maybe I'll buy a Shop Vac.

Towels, dude. Towels and a bucket.

It’ll take you like 10 minutes.
