    Does this bring accountability?
For example, can Donald's dodgy diesel deal be stopped?

The leadership is corrupt. They give FA about their constituents. They stand for nothing. It would take a lot of pressure from certain members of Congress AND the public to bring accountability. I don't see it happening.

Wow. I went to bed early. I was hopeful, but not that hopeful. Iโ€™m literally just trying to catch up with all the news (itโ€™s 5am here). Are the results as good as they seem?!
        Wow!!

Happy day. Every one of the key Senate races went blue.

@AndyD Yes, and the Democrats have the people to do it. Talks began even before the election.

I'm not sure it does. He will rule by executive order, do what he wants, and will wait for the courts to sort it out and then defy the judiciary. That takes forever and time is on his side. He's been doing that all along.

Congress and the courts can tell him "you can't do that" but he routinely ignores the rule of law. The executive controls the military. Neither the legislature nor the judiciary has any kind of enforcement mechanism.

The only way to stop him is a successful impeachment effort. I don't know that there are enough Republicans in the Senate who have the cojones to vote to impeach. There were some in 2020, but they and the others who resisted him in this second term are gone.

              It's gonna be interesting.

@Steve-Miller I don't know what you're referring to. There was no election in VT today. NH elected Democrat Chris Pappas to the Senate. NH governor's race--as far as I know--is still too close to call. Maine is still being shown as likely Dem. for Senate.

100% of house seats were up for election yesterday, including VT.

@steve-miller - Rural areas throughout NE tend to be republican, or at least lean that way. They are still counting votes, but one Maine district might be the only blue to red flip in the whole country.

That's weird. I read somewhere (I can't recall where) that there were no elections in VT yesterday. Oi.

NH is doing well. We are expected to win back the NH House and Senate.

I think I heard that there are now like 30 Dem governors. That certainly helps!
