    WHINE: Jealous. Whinging
Drought here. Anything I plant will have to be watered by hand or hose with an auto shutoff.
Thought I was flying to Scandinavia yesterday. Bob is having too much trouble with Parkinson's so we cancelled.
    May plant something instead.

@CHAS Ouch. Sorry about your trip. I hope Bob feels better soon, to the extent that he can.

Mr. AM just launched a Parkinson’s support group yesterday, a joint venture with the local community center and Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon. 24 people showed up. We were pleasantly surprised; we expected maybe 6.

It’s a long road, and we’re on it.

Now I’m headed outside to water, water, water. I don’t trust our 100 year old house’s plumbing enough to leave water faucets on with timers!

        @chas sorry to hear that!

To all who've posted photos, thank you!! I'm enjoying seeing all the beautiful flowers and spaces! I'll try to add some of my own soon. 🙂

          The hydrangeas have begun blooming

          IMG_2804.jpeg

It’s been very warm here, and I was away for the weekend, so there’s a little bit of crispiness on some of these.

          IMG_2803.jpeg

I love these. This plant was a from a 1 gallon bucket 20 years ago. It’s huge now.

          IMG_2802.jpeg

Not a bloom, but past bloom! The blueberries are in high season. We planted 3 bushes about 25 years ago; one of those remains. I added one more, but it ripens a little later, so most of these are from the original bush. I’ve picked 3 gallons so far.

The raspberries are from plants the kids gave me about 10 years ago. Raspberry shortcake: short plants, thornless. (edited; I said stemless but that’s for wine glasses!)

Food people: here’s a recipe for avocado blueberry quinoa salad; we had that for dinner last night.

@Bernard That’s a beautiful vine, and those flowers are sweet.

Japanese balloon flowers. Twice as tall this year as they were last year.

On the A1 close to Stamford this morning, I drove between two lavender fields in full purple bloom. Quite lovely.

                      A couple early Clematis.

A velvety burgandy colored one. This one has been slow to establish itself but it's coming right along now.

                      A lovely dirty lavender...

I'm letting some Marguerite Daisies come back this year, I've missed them. They were sprouting up in the middle of the lawn and I was mowing them. I spared one, and this one is out of the way. Cheerful flowers.

@Bernard Your garden looks lovely! I've never seen a clematis like the first one you posted a photo of. Even the stems look like they are red. Do you know the cultivar name?
