Inside the Quiet Republican Effort to Flip Fetterman

As the Pennsylvania Democrat increasingly is isolated within his own party, Republicans are quietly trying to win him over.

According to data I was able to find, he votes with the Democrats about 75% of the time. That’s below other relatively independent senate democrats like Sherrod Brown and John Tester (85-90%) but better than Manchin and Senema who were the true outliers.

I personally think John Fetterman is a Senator who works for the interests of the people of Pennsylvania, particularly the working people, and follows the dictates of his conscience in his position on many issues where the two parties try to draw distinctions. In today's partisan atmosphere, that risks making him anathema to his own party often enough as to risk party support at election time.

I respect him and hope to be able to re-elect him as one of my senators when he stands on the ballot again. I think he serves as a great example of what an honest politician looks like.

He's out there labeling Democrats he disagrees with as having 'Trump Derangement Syndrome". He can jump in a lake as far as I'm concerned. Trump made fun of a cripple in front of a national audience. Trump boasts about grabbing pussy, because as a celebrity, he can. Trump is the most foul President we've ever had. Trump is a war criminal and law breaker. Trump has broken his promises, what a surprise. Anyone with even the thinnest of ethical veins could discern that Trump was all lies. So for Fetterman to accuse Democrats of TDS is just beyond the pale. He can go off and be the turncoat he's desperately wanting to be. Anyone who says they want to meet Trump in the middle has lost their way. And that goes for those who say that not all Trump voters are the same. Yes, they are. They all saw the videos of his foul behavior, and it did not matter to them. Their record speak volumes about their values or lack thereof. How quickly Trump's behavior has been normalized and acceptable.

            The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

My opinion is not an argument nor a disagreement with any other opinion expressed in this thread or in any other thread.

My opinion is Fetterman is a tool of the Israeli lobby. I think he's a fool and an ass, when he belligerently waves his Israeli flag, the flag of a foreign nation, at anyone and everyone, in the halls of Congress.
