BTS took an hiatus so its members could fulfill their military obligations. Four years later, BTS is coming back.

During their absence, history has shown that no other K-Pop groups has managed to fill the opening -- none has gotten close to BTS' level of commercial profitability, global popularity, or cultural influence. Now we're not even sure if the returning BTS will reclaim the heights reached by the old younger BTS.

I’m looking forward to their return. We’ll see what they come up with!

Four years of aging for a boy band factors into the raison d'être for boy bands in popular culture.

Having said that, they might have success. Presumably, they'll have some success.

I just tried to watch one of their videos, but I couldn't make it past about 30 seconds.

        To each his own.

The "boy band" I'm into now is Austin Malone in his prime. I missed the boat for 12 years. Today, he's aged out of his former ability to entertain. He's still active but almost unrecognizable.

I guess I'm getting old, I've never heard of them. But I just discovered that if you Google 'BTS' they hijack the screen and redirect you to a video even though you clicked on the wikipedia link. Not nice.

          The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

I worked in Koreatown in Los Angeles for almost 20 years for Korean owned businesses.

I also do several crossword puzzles a day.

You cannot do either one of those things without knowing who BTS is…

                Austin today.

                Link to video

Austin in his prime. He was kind of a one hit wonder. This was it.

                Link to video

Having said that, I personally think this is a better song, better dancing, and a better video than any other I've found in this genre.

                Forgive for hijacking the thread.

I plead blissful ignorance. I am swimming upstream because contemporary mores in the arts dictate that one must not ignore pop culture.
