the Hallmark romances. So predictable. Some not even too poorly acted.

They are my escape to what Steve mentioned about the world.

    1. Meet cute
    2. A little drama, excitement between the couple to be.
    3. Crash and burn due to something or other.
    4. Redemption, reconnect with the promise of "happily ever after" with a kiss..

Then I can go to bed.

What distracts you from the news?

I have literally never seen a Hallmark romance, but some of my favourite actors from tv shows basically make a living making them now!

I tend to revisit old series as my comfort watch. So much so that Rob and I now have a running note where we add each show as we rewatch so we can cycle through them without watching them TOO close together. Currently rewatching Big Bang Theory.

Our current "together" watch is Gilmore Girls. I never watched it before!

Vertical screen "short dramas" from China.
          Often of low production value.
          Mostly predictable.
          Usually very contrived plots.
Yet oddly satisfying for guilty pleasure.

Hallmark is considered great work by actors. It's like the A Team - you know exactly what you're going to get.

              No doubt.

I bought two Hallmark cards at a discount in case anyone in my immediate circle in Florida passes.

Edit: AI just told me their slogan is: "Do a good turn daily." That didn't age as well. Lol.

Edit-- these are TV series, back to the drawing board
