Rob Reiner spoke to Piers [Morgan] in late September for around 45 minutes in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's assassination.
When asked how he felt, Rob said: 'I felt absolute horror. I unfortunately saw the video of it and it's beyond belief what happened to him. That should never happen to anybody. I don't care what your political beliefs are. That's not acceptable. That's not a solution'.
He went on to praise Erika Kirk.
'I felt what his wife said at the memorial they had was exactly right', he said.
'I'm Jewish but I believe in the teachings of Jesus and I believe in doing unto others and I believe in forgiveness. And what she said to me was beautiful. She forgave his assassin and I think that that is admirable'.

Rob Reiner allegedly got into a very heated exchange with his 32-year-old son Nick, who has now been charged in his parentsâ murder, the night before the Hollywood icon and his wife Michele Singer Reiner died.
According to TMZ sources, the three attended Conan OâBrienâs Christmas party on Saturday, December 13, and Rob and Nick got into a âvery loud argumentâ while there. The outlet reports that others in attendance were able to hear them and that Rob and Michele left the party.
It is unclear if Nick left as well. No other details regarding the party nor timeline of events were immediately available.
