Just saw an 8 point buck go by my office window.

Chipmunk ate every single tomato. Thecomputerdude is furious. ️

I blamed the chipmunk but a squirrel was actually the perpetrator. My neighbor saw him yesterday afternoon around dinner time in the bed where the two burpless cuke plants are.

I have to download videos and/or photos from my Birdfy cam....lots of birds coming to bathe in the wtg yard!!

We got our first ever Brown Thrasher this morning.

I had to go out to close the shed door which I'd left open this afternoon and, more importantly, fetch the bottle of wine that I left in the car from shopping yesterday. Flipped on the lights for the deck and there were three raccoons cautiously edging their way towards the bird feeding area. Aw. I interrupted their supper. I made sure to shut the lights as soon as I got back in so they can have a nosh.

choochiefingers and I had a day trip to Rockport, MA for an independent bookstore scavenger hunt. We had lunch at a restaurant with a view and were treated to the antics of this family of female and juvenile wood ducks.

Back to pix from the wildlife refuge--I think this little guy is a swamp sparrow. New to me.
