Fried in the sense of electrocuted, rather than cooked in oil.

I’ve seen this happen in electrical panels. Not fish, but snakes, lizards and the occasional mouse.

Only tangentially related, but years ago a squirrel hid a walnut from our backyard tree in my mom’s Jeep. When she pulled out of the driveway, it rolled into the perfect spot to cause the brakes to fail. She squealed through a stop light and around a corner, coasting to a stop in a parking lot. No one was hurt, so the mechanic was quite amused!

Tangentially related, but there were several hornets living behind the curtain on my front door. I killed one and managed to make the others fly out. I had just returned home and didn't have the energy to see if there's a nest. I'd have talked about it with the other person who lives here but he was wasn't here (he's afraid of melting like a Christmas candle) because I don't have any wasp spray. I get treated like I'm literally am asking for a person favor when I ask for the slight thing with the house. He came home tonight, he brought nothing, he didn't say a word. I texted him, told him I had counted everything in my room, not to take one step in my room, told him I would no longer do the garbage and it can rot because he won't finish my bike that's almost done after saying he would if I paid for an air pump, and told him not to speak to me because there's nothing left to be said.

I had a very Frank text exchange with his sister the other day and she told me she wasn't moving in to take care of her mother and save the rent she is paying on her house because she said their mom wouldn't let him be homeless. The obvious meaning is that this is exactly her plan within days of the mother's death. It reminded me of the baby birds who rolled the other eggs out of the next. She's assured her mother that she will not support him in any way. I despise him myself and if I do so much as give him 3 batteries for his lantern, bites my hand and draws blood within 24 hours. I'm finish. It won't be my fault in the least if he dies of a drug overdose in the street. He will never be allowed in my new home. I will ghost him on that glorious day I get my new home.

I forgot the worst part. I was leaving and apparently crushed a garden lizard between the top of the door and the door frame. This was when I noticed the wasps. I was hoping its tail was just cut off but it was dead. It didn't look like a good omen so I found a stick and knocked it to the ground.
