Charges dropped against doctor

The federal government on Saturday dismissed charges against a Utah plastic surgeon accused of throwing away COVID-19 vaccines, giving children saline shots instead of the vaccine and selling faked vaccination cards.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi said in a post on the social media platform X that charges against Dr. Michael Kirk Moore, of Midvale, Utah, were dismissed at her direction.

But massive defrauding of the government is now permitted, as long as it accords with the president's whims. This is what happens when the DOJ becomes the president's personal vendetta team and not the nation's independent enforcer of federal law.

Details. In some cases the parents asked for the kids to get a saline shot so they would think they were vaccinated.

There's so much wrong with this in every facet it's hard to see what might be right.

The state board will not revoke his license, of course. This is Utah, after all.

If the unethical fraud of a man is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, that society should investigate, and then, if the evidence is clear, revoke his board certification.

I don't know what else there is to be done.
