I’ve never seen one of these before. The name reminds me of a “Pernicious Snid” from the chocolate factory.
It’s a plum-apricot cross. Delicious!

They've been available for years and are very tasty. Some of the ones I tried were called Dinosaur Eggs, just a cute marketing name. They taste more like plums than apricots to me.

The thread title had me thinking it was maybe about some bird.
Suppose you can make pluot jam?I’m sure you can. The taste and texture are very much like a plum but sweeter.
