In the wtg house, it's Happy Jam Cooking Day!! We have berries galore.

I grow the red currants and gooseberries, bought fresh strawberries at the store, and frozen blueberries (regular, not wild) from Costco.

We've already made a batch of red currant-blueberry jam and a batch of red currant-strawberry jam. Straight gooseberry next up, after I get back from the store. Need a bunch more jars.

Black currants are still ripening. Not sure if I'll have enough to make jam from them. I just graze on the red raspberries, straight from the canes. Or in a bowl with some half and half and maybe a sprinkle of sugar.

To be fair to George 3rd, although he was against your independence, He didn't develop or impose the taxes on the colonies, nor send troops. It was our government, simply trying to finance and administer some kind of order in a vast country; that was far beyond our capability to manage.

George was a very cultured and educated family man, before the strain of his role and illness got to him in the 1780's.
His thousands of books became the core of our British Library.
