    Oh. My. Word.

If she actually eats that kind of food on a regular basis, it will be a miracle if she reaches the age of 30.

I’m Elaine and I love to cook!

    Um, no.

By the way, @AndyD , when I first opened this thread I thought you were serious, and when she unwrapped and dumped the brick of Velveeta into the slow cooker, I was like WHAAAT??? What kind of Brit, a person from the land of heavenly cheese, would consider Velveeta in a recipe a good thing???

      😉

Dumping tins of, globs of, ultra processed, packets of sugar filled... into a silver tray made for roasting... hardly qualifies as cooking. I did wonder at first if it was all a joke. The first video of the meatball sausage slop had me gagging.

There is something rather sweet about Marty (and not just his body odour) as he conspires with her making some pocket money.
That cock on top of the fridge is a nice touch.

I just had to share, even before reading the youtube comments 😄

Never heard of velveeta, or that squirty grape stuff. Both on my list btw.

Back in the late 1970s, My first job was with a large international company that had offices all over the world, including London. A chap called Ian was my contact person in the London office. I remember him saying that his family loved Welch’s Grape Jelly and when he was in Chicago for business, he asked if I could get some for him to take home. Over the years as I got to know him, I discovered that he had a wickedly sneaky sense of humor, and I wondered if he had just been pulling my leg about their love of grape jelly.

I see Bonne Maman has a grape jelly. I’m guessing it’s much better than the American products like Welch’s.

Let us know what you think! Or maybe you’re joking about putting them on your list….

I'm not especially fond of grape jelly but I would try that....

We don't usually have jams or jellies at home.... But a woman at work made her own strawberry jam and gave me a jar. She said she used much less sugar than the recipe called for, and I thought it was perfect. In fact I thought that made strawberry taste stand out more.

I took that jam and put a spoonful of it in some greek yogurt (the whole milk kind). It was sooo good! Much better than store-bought strawberry yogurt. Yum.

Needless to say, that jar is long gone!

It's a mental list of things to never buy because there must be a better alternative.

Things that usually make me laugh, spray butter, or something utterly ridiculous like this bag

OMG! What is wrong with people....

I look at that price tag and think of all the other things you buy for that amount.... plane tickets, for one example...

Something made with quality materials, by hand--which takes many hours--is going to be expensive. Some people consider it a good investment on something that will last generations. I tend to agree.

                          Yes; and Yes.
Though the cynic in me whispers it's so nice that some bugger will only nick it.
I've considered very similar leather duffels in the sale at John Lewis for £300.
Helly Hanson do one called the Offshore, practical, waterproof, for a mere 120 quid, but being bright red plastic I guess it's the squeezy-plastic-bottle-of-jelly equivalent.

Mik, I see Welches come in jam jars so it's off my list😉
