"A gigantic tool shed in West Garfield Park may seem like an unusual place for inspiration. But that’s what many visitors to the nonprofit Chicago Tool Library found there recently, even amid grim headlines about economic uncertainty."

In this case, “library” is much better than “museum.” 🙂

Wow, that is really cool! And timely. We were cleaning out stuff in the garage yesterday that they might want. Some of the stuff is too big for me to move (like a wheelbarrow and a Little Giant ladder). I wonder if they have someone who could pick it up. I'll reach out to them and see if there's a volunteer who could pick our items up.

Our library also loans tools as well as camping and sporting equipment, gardening equipment, countertop kitchen appliances, and shade covers.

I have need of a long handled lopper. Maybe Ill go see if they have one.

We have a tool library here in Portland. I joined it because I needed a metal detector (lost a scrimshaw stick pin in the back yard), but found my lost object myself as soon as I signed up!
