I'll let Shiro comment if she will. I found a really great recipe site while looking for a coherent recipe for Nobu's Miso Marinated Black Cod. This person really does their homework. It's east to go from link to link.

Going to try this. Have some pork belly in the freezer waiting for a good idea.

You know that I can barely cook, right? 😆 Mr SK does all the cooking in our family.

Having said that, the ingredients listed on those the links (the ones you posted and the others that I jumped around in) are definitely legit. Those are all things Mr SK uses (and karashi is one of the best condiment!) Oh and his kakuni is super yummy.

Will you be able to get all the ingredient? What's your closest big Asian grocery store? If you have an H-mart or Tensuke market nearby, you'll be fine. H-Mart is primarily Korean, but they always have a good selection of Japanese products as well.

Let us know how your attempts go! 🙂

We have several large Asian groceries quite near so it should not be a problem. Glad to hear it seems authentic. It looked that way to me.
