Biden has imposed tariffs on Chinese vehicles. I know China uses some sleazy marketing moves, but who it he protecting?

I would bet that beyond tariffs, the EVs from China would require additions to pass US requirements... Looks like the Nissan Leaf is the cheapest available in the US at just under 30k, with lots of other manufacturers in that 30-40k starting range, so it isn't just Tesla.
