said in Ukraine “peace plan”:
Behind the scenes with Witkoff.
Besides the content of the calls, there is the question of who recorded and leaked them.

Trump dismissed the controversy, describing Witkoff's reported approach on the call as “a very standard form of negotiation” and "what a dealmaker does."
White House communications director Steven Cheung also said on X that there was "nothing wrong" with what was said in the "supposed" transcript. "In fact, it shows what a successful negotiator does in order to get a deal done," Cheung said.

My humble opinion.
The best outcome would be peace achieved by recognizing Russia is a great power whether we like it or not, and has been hegemonic in this region for centuries.
It will not tolerate another NATO nation on its border, not to mention the agreements we have reneged on regarding Russia, the fact we withdrew from the nuclear weapons framework, and the fact the regime in Ukraine is a proxy, illegitimate and corrupt.
Ceasefire. Treaty. Like any other war ever.
This bloodbath is achieving continual death and suffering while a very small group of people reap huge profits.
Enough.

No wonder Teh Donald & Co are in a hurry to push Ukraine into the "peace plan".

I want peace in Ukraine. I don't want Ukraine to be given membership in NATO, either.
But that's just me.

Donald Trump’s drive to secure peace in Ukraine must not let Vladimir Putin off the hook for war crimes committed by Russian forces, a top EU official has warned, effectively setting a new red line for a deal.
In an interview with POLITICO, Michael McGrath, the European commissioner for justice and democracy, said negotiators must ensure the push for a ceasefire does not result in Russia escaping prosecution.
His comments reflect concerns widely held in European capitals that the original American blueprint for a deal included the promise of a “full amnesty for actions committed during the war,” alongside plans to reintegrate Russia into the world economy.
