Beautiful Film....

.... Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein" See it on the big screen if you can. It has a three-week theatrical release, then will be streaming on Netflix.
If you loved delToro's "Pan's Labyrinth" or just like atmospheric films with terrific cinematography, this film will burn images on your mind for days. So beautifully shot.
It starts out a little slow, but then becomes gripping.
Saw it last night at our local art house theater with a friend. We both couldn't stop gushing about it. Not really a horror movie. More Victorian Gothic Artsy.
Reviewers are calling it a "masterpiece". It is a masterpiece of cinematography. I think the story could have gone a lot deeper, though still moving.
Find myself this morning wanting to write a sequel about what happens next to the Monster.
Jodi, if you see this, it's playing at the Myrna Theater in Helena all week. Though not on their biggest screen. Last night was the last big screen showing.
