Daughter's wedding

Said I share a few snaps, yet five weeks on and I've seen only a handful of official photos.
I know he took thousands, so instead of digital cameras making things quick, a photographers job has become a laborious sorting and editing process. Before printing. I shared a few taken by guests previously, here's a few more/better quality -
The photo that makes my heart sing, taken through glass. My sentinel younger daughter checking all is perfect for her sister to walk out of the Pavilion to the assembled throng. -
What a beautiful wedding and such beautiful people!
Even the old man looks pretty good!

Officially welcoming to our family
I love these kinds of traditions.
Please tell us more about what this one entails!I think traditionally the Tea Ceremony was when a chinese couple were accepted into the respective families and considered married.
Here they'd been signed/married earlier in the morning with only two winesses present (for me the tea ceremony was nearest family only and a day before a full church do).
They wanted everyone to be involved in the fun, including friends(!), so it became a rather long show where the 60 invitees drank bubbly and had nibbles watching and being called up by my younger daughter.
So they served tea to more senior members and were served by junior members... words are exchanged.
Tea was lychee (longan is traditional) signifying a sweet and long life.
Ironically the three boyfriends of the daughters of MrsD's sister were the only ones who did not participate... not yet family and they thought it better not to in case it offended their future inlaws
. Such is traditional Straits Chinese culture.
