To celebrate being crowned for the second year in a row with the title of America’s No. 1 ice cream brand, San Diego’s An’s Gelato will be serving $1 scoops at its three San Diego-area retail shops on Tuesday, July 1.
On June 18, An’s Gelato was named the No. 1 Best Indie Ice Cream Shop in America in the USA Today 10Best awards program. That’s the second year the 7-year-old locally based company topped the national list, after finishing in second place in 2023. To come up with the winners, a panel of 25 national food bloggers and influences select the top 10 finalists each year and the public is then also allowed to vote for their favorites.
An’s has been highly rated in the 10Best poll for its made-from-scratch, small-batch gelatos and its very unique style of marketing and flavor names.
