It's awfully hard to lose a pet, but important to know when it's time. As hard as it is, it's the final kindness you can show them.

He was a good guy. Sorry you lost him.

Raffi was a real challenge at the beginning. A biter and a really detached dog who never seemed to want to interact with us. We have no idea what his life was like before we got him. Over time he came to trust us and ended up worming his way into our hearts. And we somehow came to an understanding that was powerful in its own way. We supported him as best we could in his old age and if dog can show his appreciation, he seemed to.

He was somewhere around 17 or 18 years old so he had a long life for a pup. We hope the last three years were the best. We learned a lot from him, and we'll miss him.

Thanks to all for your comforting words. They help ease the hurt. Hugs to you all.
