Name the starter
-
It's time for a contest.
@jodi says that a lot of people name their sourdough starters. I had no idea. Her starter is named Fred.
I have a several year old starter that I never named and am feeling badly about that and want to correct the situation. I also have starter offspring from the original. The second starter is being fed rye flour instead of wheat flour. Completely different beast.
OK WTFers, I'm looking for suggestions for names for my starters. Would love to hear your ideas!
@Steve-Miller , if you want to join in on the "starter name hunt" to find a name for your starter, let us know. I already have a name in mind for yours...

“Bubbles”.

Might want to wait to name mine. Right now it’s not much more than a sludge.

How's the starter doing, @Steve-Miller ? Any signs of life?

Yes, they’re both doing well. The one made with rye flour is progressing more quickly but the whole wheat flour one looks good too.
Thanks!

I just saw a starter named “Doughbama!”
