Have any of you made dandelion tea/coffee?
-
Just curious. I have loads. (My yard is a safe haven for small critters and the pollinators). I’ve made pigment for paint from the flowers, and I’ve made cordage from the stems. But I’ve never eaten them or used them for tea.
-
I've never eaten (or drank) a dandelion either.
What is "cordage"?
-
I've had chrysanthemum flower tea, which is quite delicate and has a nice flavor. And linden flowers. But no dandelion. The tea is made from the root, right?
-
Our niece from California brought along some https://dandyblend.com/ one trip and we all tried it. MrsTuner recently ordered some because she's cutting back on caffeine.
-
The greens are $2.49 lb.
Enjoyed the book, Dandelion Wine by Ray Bradbury.
Tea? Nope -
@ShiroKuro it’s taking plant fiber and doing a simple twist to make a stronger cord. It’s easy, and sort of addicting. This year I’ve been doing it with the old dayliliy leaves from last years garden.

@Jodi What do you do with your finished cordage?
-
My plan is to use it to tie up the tomatoes and sweet peas.

@Jodi Neat!!
