Googie Architecture

I had never heard the term Googie (apparently pronounced with two hard Gs) but of course we all recognize it immediately. This article has great photos. I never liked that Arby’s sign, but a lot of the other examples do have the “Jetsons” cool look.

Places like McD and Taco Bell are really toning it down, at least in urban areas. Saw a Taco Bell the other day that looked like a gray box.
