One thing about city life is the availability of music in smaller venues!

"WBEZ’s monthly concert list highlights small to midsize performances across Chicago"

We don't get out much to evening concerts/performances, but do try to take advantage of earlier shows around town. I sing in two choirs, so this is a busy month prepping for upcoming performances...

Any interesting shows near you this month?

There's a really nice place called Hey Nonny in "downtown" Arlington Heights that hosts some pretty good music.

Our former neighbor is a member of a jazz octet that performed there a ways back. He plays bass sax, bass clarinet, and, you'll love this @Rontuner , bassoon!

I think when they were at Hey Nonny it was with a singer named Dee Alexander.
