thanks. And grrrrr..

I missed telling you a step you have to do on postimages...click on Share, then a bunch of options will pop up. Then click on Direct Link to copy the URL to paste in the Image Link here.
-
Are you using the full edit screen here? Next to the box that says "Quick reply", there are two arrows that open up a full editing screen. That's where all the magic happens.
-
no, I figured that part out. And resized. It probably was a size problem. My images on my tablet are mostly pretty large.
-
Any image you are posting here from your tablet or computer has to be under 2 MB. You can crop or resize on your local device, then drag/drop here.
Or upload to postimages and just use that Direct Link here. I don't use FB, but I think people are just copying the link for pics they have on FB and then use the Image Link here.

I find the use of an intermediary web site to post pictures very annoying. It would no doubt be easier to do from my pc laptop but i try to stay off the internet and use that machine just for work. Almost all my media is on my tablet.

What Kind of tablet?

It all boils down to storage. If you do the drag/drop, the photo ends up being stored here, which means storage cost goes up. Photo file sizes can get huge, which is why we have a limit. It's not unlike the purges we used to do of posts on the other place; it was to keep storage costs down.
If you put the photo on another website, the storage costs are on them. We just store a link to their site and display the photo. We don't store the photo here.
The old WTF didn't have any option for drag/drop and required a third party host. Resizing had to be done manually, or the pics were huge over there and messed up how the thread looked.

I see @Steve-Miller and @dolmansaxlil are logged on...they do a lot more from tablets than I do and can probably help with questions.
@dolmansaxlil had a shortcut for an iPad that automatically resizes photos, I think. I'll try to find the post here, unless she chimes in first.

@Steve-Miller Samsung
-
@pique - you posted a photo of you and your pup when you first signed up here. Do you remember how you did it? Was it from your tablet?
-
I email myself the picture - that gives me an option to limit the file size. Then I save that to post.
-
@Rontuner Brilliant!
-
Post images resizes the photo for you when you upload it. It prompts you, just select resize for message boards. Copy the direct link and paste it into the photo url that comes up when you hit the photo icon in the full reply box .
-
Another short cut< which should work from a table is to take a screen shot, copy it and upload thst. The screen shots are usually smaller file size than a regular photo. On the iPhone or iPad, after you take a screen shot, you have the option to copy it, so I would guess other platforms are similar.

So WHERE is this bloody T-shirt design?
