In which I catalog the speeches, concerts, self-made documentaries, ad campaigns, and music videos of Madonna in Italy

Thank you for indulging me. I know we have only a few Madonna fans here.
I think I'll have a good 10 entries and maybe more if memory serves me.
1/2 Italian, with extended family living in Italy, Madonna had an affinity for Italy, and Italians loved her, with the exception of the Catholic Church.
I'll start with my favorite Madonna speech. My personal name for it is- "The Vatican Speech". I've always called it that. I made up the name.
Link to videoIt hits me harder now than it did even when she gave it.
To think- there was a time when these words she spoke about the US and the right to freedom of speech enshrined in the Constitution could be expressed so brilliantly and without irony.
This was a brave speech for her to give at the time given how many people did not understand her work let alone the fact that she went to the source to give it.

Madonna "Ciao Italia: Live From Italy"
These might have been the best concerts of her career.
She was at the peak of her dancing ability. She was the right age for herself to be able to dance like this; she had trained her body to a degree she hadn't been able to achieve in the past and obviously could not maintain.
To the point, she clearly loved these venues and the Italians clearly loved her in return.
"Concerts Filmed: September 4, 1987 (Turin, Italy) and September 6, 1987 (Florence, Italy), plus clips from June 22, 1987 (Tokyo, Japan)."

Turn Up The Radio
Madonna visits Florence and takes a chariot ride (according to her lyrics) in a Cadillac convertible (what else) in the Tuscan countryside with a chauffeur while picking up a cast of characters.

Well, I know of him, of course.
And I've heard the story about the UM.
I won't mention names. Lol.
Needless to say I thought it was an interesting story.
I was asked once if I would want to meet her.
I've never wanted to meet her, have her autograph, or anything else.
There wouldn't be any point for me.
She's narcissistic and rude IRL by all accounts.

Btw, I bought her first two albums in cassette form and wore them out.
But I pride myself on never contributing one more cent to her fortune.
I haven't violated IP law, either.
I guess it helps I hate rock concerts.
I mean I would hate going to one.
My lack of interest in financially contributing to her work has of course clearly had zero effect on her.

Italian interview. TBH, didn't know it existed.
Have no idea what they're saying.
I tried CC. It gave me CC in Italian.
Don't feel like trying to CC into English at the moment.
Including it for relevance to topic.
Matt spoke Italian.
I do what to know what is said in Italian at the end of Turn Up The Radio.
I might put it into some kind of audio translation software one day.

Italian interview. Ray of Light album promotion tour.
Link to videoI have listened to this one. I won't again.
I'd rather watch music videos she made for Ray of Light.
It was one her best albums.
