A week of practice since the previous recording and here's one this morning
Link to videoI reckon another week for memory and then another for the music.
Off to pressure wash and cement gaps in our front wall. I bet Rubinstein and Wang never let their fingers do such diy

I had thought about working on it, even read it through a few times, but I made the decision in late spring to take on Chopin's Polonaise Fantasie in hopes of having it ready for class this fall. At the moment I don't know if I'm going to make it. I think class starts in September, so maybe. There are several pages that are coming along nicely, and one or two that need more struggle. I'll see when I get there. I can fall back on the first Polonaise if need be, but darn, I'll love to do the Fantasie. Since class time is shared and limited, I can probably buy time for the challenging passages by only presenting a few pages per week. There just won't be time to play through the whole thing every class plus time for comments and the teacher's coaching. It might work.
I will, though, come back to Wiosna. The subject interests me.

@AndyD thatβs just lovely! I really like hearing how your playing of this has evolved!

Thank you. DIY done, a shower and snooze and then...
after another 3 attempts, forced myself to not use the dots, and, with minor fumbles, on the 6th attempt got it.
Very happy.
I reckon I've read it through 120 times in order to be able to play it fully from memory. -
Bernard, you are learning this one?

First play of the day, ten minutes when the house was quiet (tried a new recording position and turned off the dehumidifiers).
Nearly happy with it, a couple of places where I am still thinking and my pedalling falters, and also for left-right balance. -

Thank you. Shall continue to play it daily to improve.
Our piano is well overdue for a tuning, and I was thinking of asking the tech to tone it down. Not much I can do to give it the touch of a grand.
Anyhow moving on, to CdeLune and maybe jazzy Don't Know Why.
