All's quiet on the western front.

Last night. Five people looking at the person in the hole, who apparently drew the short straw:

@wtg The five must be certain the job is done correctly. ๐Ÿ™‚

My guess is the sixth guy is the only one who knows how to do the task that needs to be done in the hole. ๐Ÿคช

This is what I was worrying about during our gas leak...

Firefighters responding to a reported natural gas odor in a Twinsburg Township neighborhood had been on scene for only about two minutes before a house exploded Thursday afternoon, destroying three homes, damaging at least 36 others, and setting off a chain of events that authorities say is nothing short of miraculous.

Noticed something was amiss when I turned into the apartment complex in my student days. Did not realize what was missing until I turned on the evening news. The house on the corner was gone due to a gas leak. No one was home.

Woke up around midnight to the sound of a sewer cover clanking out in front of our house. I thought it might be kids pulling a stupid prank so I looked out the window to see what was going on. No kids, just a village public works truck and a bunch of guys walking around. Oh, and a huge lake in the street a couple of houses over from us. Water main break.

We didn't get much sleep because of the noise. Generator running the water pump they use to empty the water so they can do the repair, plus trucks to take away what they dug up and trucks to bring fill and cold patch. Between the ongoing water main replacement project and this repair of the old main, our street looks a bit like a war zone.

Good news is the water was back on in time to make coffee this morning! โ˜• ๐Ÿ˜ Living in a community where repairs are done promptly is definitely a wonderful thing...

@wtg wow!! Thatโ€™s a lot of drama, and a lot of noise, to then still be able to have that morning coffee. Iโ€™m not confident we would have the same positive experience here!
