I'm guessing people in MAGA will freak out.

Personally, I hit the American generations head on- WWII, Boomers, Generation X.

It's random chance but I wouldn't have chosen anything to be different.

We've lost my grandparents' generation; we're loosing the Boomers (I've lost both my parents).

Now it's my turn to be in the world with my only family left being my peers, although they're about fifteen years younger than me.

I'm very satisfied with this timeline the universe chose for me.

/Back to demographics of countries with aging populations

'But as they said in one of the later Rocky movies, "Time...it's undefeated.".-- Mik

        Japan: https://www.sinchew.com.my/news/20260718/international/7680304

The metric this time is fraction of households where the caregiver and the care recipient are both above certain age.

Age 75+ : 37.1% of households in Japan are such that the caregiver and care recipient are age 75 or older.

Age 65+ : 61.9% of households in Japan are such that the caregiver and care recipient are age 65 or older.
