I live in a mobile home (technical term, trailer-- colloquial term, mobile homes manufactured after c 1980 are technically manufactured homes).
I know a thing or two about it.
These home that were build in 1943 were not much different than manufactured homes today.
They were built cookie cutter style in suburban developments but used mass production and assembly line methods.
The result was the house would last the life of the mortgage if it was maintained well enough.
In contrast, the oldest inhabited house in Europe dates to c 1040.
I'm glad Florida has concrete block on concrete slab housing stock built between the '40's through the '70's.
The units in condo buildings are a steal because the market for sellers is bad and projected to get worse through this year.
The single family houses are still selling for very high prices.
