My favorite condo is pending

I follow listings every day, checking on listings and complexes I know and looking for new listings.

It was pending once before and fell through and listed again. I hope this deal falls through.

I'm in communication with the listing agent. He's fun to talk to even though know I need my own.

He and his wife and babies had the flu when I did (he said it's particularly stressful when babies are sick; I'm sure).

We commiserated about being sick.

He commended me on having patience. I thanked him for this especially because as I told him nobody has sympathy for the unresolved process and the way it needs to be resolved both for you to move forward with life and be able to move through grief. They seem to think that's a problem they'd like have and it's a walk in the park.

Maybe he'll make a sale and can spend the money on heath insurance, co-payment, and OTC's for his family.

I wouldn't begrudge him. Properties here are commonly listed for hundreds of days.

The ideal, renovated place will show up, or a place will show up that meets my basic requirements, and needs some renovation.

My second choice is still on the market. I don't want to jinx it but I'm surprised someone hadn't already bought it at the asking price.

The process grinds on.

I have a Zoom appointment with my attorney to ask some questions. I won't go into the arcane legal details but the decisions I make aren't locked in stone.

I realized ot course it would be a minor miracle if the settlement hearing is scheduled this month and it this rate it might not be next month.

Then it's going to take at least another to months to buy auy car, buy a place, and move.

This has become something of a saga.

I don't blame my father at all because he wouldn't have known how to do it but PSA-- avoid the probate process if you can do it.

It's very complicated, it's very expensive, and it's very slow.
