Nearly 40% of Stanford undergraduates claim they’re disabled. I’m one of them

One of the most prestigious universities in the US offers perks to those who say they have ADHD, night terrors, even gluten intolerance. You’d be stupid not to game the system

      That's a pretty bad mindset.

It's called dishonesty. Lying. The people who do this are cheats.

The same with using AI to do their homework.

      No respect. I abhor cheats.

      The industrial revolution cheapened everything.

The way of the world - staying "just within the rules" is considered honorable. The example of the US government and the rich able to use the system to work outside of the rules sets the example to push the envelope as far as possible.

This is plain stupid. People are disabled according the SSA or the VA; according to a university, not so much.

These are a bunch of entitled young people who are anything but disabled, and are being too cute by half.

Would they be bragging like this if a car accident left them with a brain injury and broken bones, living with a wheelchair, or not even able to get out of a bed?

          Disgusting.

How many people have your seen try to bring """service animals""" in somewhere that clearly weren't really? How many people don't quite honestly file taxes? How many people speed when they drive or don't come to a full stop? How many people aren't quite honest when writing a resume? The list could go on...
