      @Bernard OMG! That was amazing!! First of all of it was beautifully played, lovely tone with such a gentle feel, perfect for the music.

      Second, ummm…. Can anyone say “lung capacity”??? I bet she can hold her breath for like…. an hour…. 😆

          The Edgar Meyer of the tuba world! Amazing.

          I just sent a suggestion to the head of the Virginia Symphony asking if they might be interested in bringing her down for a concert.

            Back in high school I played the Sousaphone in the marching band. I only got to play a proper tuba once.

            Quite different. The Tuba has a much faster rotary valve action vs. the Sousaphone’s vertical valves. The tuba also has a fourth valve, the function of which zine never determined.

            Very impressive performance. I doubt it could have been performed on a Sousaphone.
