    The article gives examples of politicians (usually Democrats) being called 'Theater Kids' in derogatory manners (usually by the Republicans or GOP-leading commentators) and asks "What did theater kids do to deserve such scorn?"

      Once again, those on the right take an attribute that they display that might be seen as a negative and 'brand' it to the left - shielding themselves.

      It seems to work...rinse and repeat.
