We are very, very sad in our household. Such a great voice, and a wonderful songwriter, too.
Do you know about the tribute concerts at the Ryman that happened last weekend? The Mavericks past and present with special guests. Raul was supposed to be there, but ended up in the hospital a day or two before.
You can watch the concerts on nugs.net as a pay per view through the end of the month. We bought both, but we’ve only watched half of the first one so far. Excellent music.

That voice. This was in 2018 at the Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland Oregon. I think this was during the encore. We were all feeling a little tender about the administration change.
2022, post concert in Portland. So very gracious.
