What's up for Thanksgiving this year?
-
It's just me and Mr wtg this year. My best friend had been flying in from Washington the last few years but won't be joining us this year.
As I mentioned elsewhere, Mr wtg and I had turkey a couple of weeks ago so we're doing something else for Thanksgiving this year. Probably leg of lamb. Definitely potatoes (still have tons from this year's harvest). Brussels sprouts (Trader Joe's had the stalks with the sprouts still attached - definitely the freshest!). Oh, and mushrooms, because we love mushrooms. The mix from Costco is pretty damned good.
What are your plans? Traditional or novel? Small gathering or a herd?

Nada, most likely. I'm not terribly keen on turkey, so I won't be getting any. Might do a stuffed acorn squash, with cranberries. Might try again to make the molded Waldorf salad that's one of my faves. It failed to gel last time! Thanks for mentioning sprouts I love them; will look for them. OK, maybe I am doing some sort of dinner.

Ooh, great idea! I have a kabocha and a delicata that need to be cooked.
And I bought cranberries for my LIthuanian Christmas Eve cranberry kisielius. There are plenty for that and for a batch of cranberry sauce.
Heading for feast after all!
